Reader
Safari's Reader application is a built-in function of the OSX Lion internet browser. Reader will allow a user to rid themselves of distractions on a webpage by bringing only the pertinent text to the forefront of the browser window. It will also allow the user to increase or decrease the text size, email the text to someone directly from Reader, and look up words or phrases using a dictionary, thesaurus, or even Wikipedia.
Reader also has the ability to read the article to the user simply by choosing Edit, Speech, and Start Speaking. The text of the article can also be sent to iTunes as an audio track. A student could translate the text to another language and then send that track to iTunes to practice their Spanish, German, English...you get the idea. In a world full of distractions, Reader is the first line of offense!
